Several hundred people marched through the streets of Geneva on Saturday to denounce what they saw as "genocide" in Gaza. They also criticized the Israeli bombings in Lebanon and the fact that Israel remains unpunished in all of this.

The demonstrators called for an end to the attacks on Palestinian health workers and infrastructure, the opening of a humanitarian corridor in Gaza, a ceasefire, a military embargo against Israel, an end to economic cooperation with the Jewish state and its exclusion from international bodies.

The activists deplored the silence of the Swiss authorities in this matter, which in their opinion makes them "accomplices in the genocidal enterprise" of the Israeli government. They called for the resignation of Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis, who, in their view, had failed to act in the face of the crimes committed.
