The founder of the Spanish clothing brand Mango, Isak Andic, is dead. The 71-year-old died in an accident on Saturday, the company announced, without giving further details of the circumstances.

According to Spanish media reports, Andic died in an accident while hiking with family members near the Catalan city of Barcelona. Mango, based in Barcelona, is one of the largest clothing companies in Europe. The chain has almost 2,800 stores and around 15,500 employees worldwide, according to the company's website.

Andic founded the first store in Barcelona in 1984 with the help of his older brother Nahman. The family comes from Turkey.
